Open-source EMDR tappers
(this project is a work-in-progress)

Purpose

Purpose

This project aims to make EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) tappers affordable, accessible, and customizable through open-source design. After seeing their positive impact on a close friend—and how the cost of commercial devices can be prohibitive—I set out to engineer a solution that offers the same therapeutic benefits at a fraction of the price.

The goal is a fully configurable system that combines vibration, light, and sound feedback, allowing users to fine-tune intensity, frequency, colors, and text through an intuitive, open-source platform—all for under $50 in components. Users can further tailor the design by removing features to reduce cost or adding their own custom modules.
